Newest Attractions

There are more attractions offering you free admission every month!

In April, we added 16 new attractions in the Montréal area. This month we are adding 12 new attractions in Winnipeg and throughout Manitoba!

Read below for details on the newest places available to you for free.

The Winnipeg Art Gallery houses a collection of contemporary, historical and decorative art, as well as the world's largest public collection of contemporary Inuit art. There's also a rooftop restaurant and gift shop.

Gabrielle Roy was one of Canada's most influential authors of the 20th century. Visit the fully restored house, La Maison Gabrielle-Roy, which was her home and the setting of several of her short stories and novels.

Set sail on a thrilling voyage of excitement and discovery at The Manitoba Museum. Only there can you travel through time to the roaring 20's, explore a 17th century ship and view treasures from around the world.

Still under construction, the soon to be opened Canadian Museum for Human Rights is already becoming a national and international destination, a centre of learning where Canadians and people from around the world can engage in discussion and commit to taking action against hate and oppression.

The Saint-Boniface Museum is the oldest building in Winnipeg. Built for the Grey Nuns as the first convent and hospital in Western Canada, it now showcases Métis and French-Canadian history.

Visit the Plug In Institute of Contemporary Art  to see the best of contemporary art and to share Manitoba's unique artistic voice with the world. Plug In ICA invites you to explore art that confronts ideas and issues affecting today's society.               

Immerse yourself in métis family life as it was during the late 1800s at St. Norbert Provincial Heritage Park. Located at the junction of the Red and La Salle rivers, this park is sometimes referred to as Winnipeg's "other forks."

Escape urban life and stroll the paths of Trappist Monastery Provincial Heritage Park where you'll see the architectural ruins of the Our Lady of the Prairies church and step back to an earlier time when Trappist monks lived in the quiet confines of the surrounding monastery.

Delve into the past and read about a nineteenth-century way of life along the River Road Provincial Heritage Park's eleven kilometer stretch of the Red River. Information about the cultural features along the parkway is available as you enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Come on out and see how the prairies became what they are today! The Manitoba Agricultural Museum offers an absolutely amazing collection of vintage farm equipment, a turn of the century town and interactive experiences.

The St. Norbert Arts Centre offers cultural, historical and recreational activities in a stunning setting. Right next to a provincial park that is ideal for picnicking, the Art Centre is where you can enjoy art, history, nature and food all in one spot.

The 16 new attractions in the Montréal area allow you to further discover the art, history and culture this exciting city has to offer.

Visit the world famous Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal or explore the role of architecture in society at the unique Centre Canadien d'Architecture. Make your way to Montréal's Old Port for a visit to le Centre des Sciences de Montréal or perhaps relive more than 500 years of history through the  Château Ramezay - Historic Site and Museum of Montréal - the first building in Quebec to be classified as an historic monument.
